TREAT POUCHES

Bringing a treat pouch with you on a walk can mean the difference between keeping your dogs attention on you, or being potentially dragged across the street towards dogs, squirrels, kids, cars, etc.

Using a treat pouch in the house and yard while practicing obedience training (sit, stay, to your bed, give paw, etc.) will keep your dog engaged as the pouch will soon represent a potential "payment" or "a pay cheque".

Aim to work smart and not hard by using high value treats to convince your dog that you are more rewarding than any environment they are in.

I choose a treat pouch (and I have many, lol) based on two guidelines:

1) Easy and Quick Access to Treats

2) An Option to Wear the Pouch Like a Sash for Easy Access When Wearing a Winter Coat

Amir Upgraded Dog Treat Pouch

This treat pouch is on the bigger side (why it’s my favorite), it uses magnets to easily open and close the main opening, that consists of two separate bags keeping treats and toys separate (which can be removed for easy cleaning) there are 4 different ways to wear it, AND also includes 2 extra zipper pockets big enough to fit your phone, keys, poop bags, etc.

CAFI Silicone Dog Treat Pouch

These 2 silicone pouches are on the small side, are equipped with magnetic self-closures and they are dishwasher safe - ideal for wet or messy treats. It includes a collapsible bowl, and a clip to attach them to a belt, or jacket pocket.

Meiso Dog Treat Training Pouch

This treat pouch is considered medium is size, there are 3 different ways to wear it, you can fit treats and a toy, or a phone (but not all three) and is completely waterproof so the fabric inside can be turned inside out to clean.

Viklluyr Dog Treat Bag

This treat pouch is considered XL for a reason, because it includes a spot for your water bottle! The overlapping top design prevents snacks from being spilled and will automatically close after feeding. There are 4 different ways to wear it, AND it also includes a front zipper pocket big enough to fit your phone, keys, wallet, sun glasses, etc.
