Flirt Pole Jobs

A Flirt Pole is a great outlet for dogs with high prey-drive. Use a toy they enjoy tugging and attach it to the end of the pole as the lure.

Only allow short play session to keep their interest peaked. To avoid injury playing with a Flirt Pole, practice half circle motions rather than sharp left/right motions which can tear tendon or ligaments.

Have your pooch on a long leash attached to a harness to avoid them running away from you in an open area. Make sure they catch the toy more than chase it to start, gradually making it more challenging.

Ensure that you are clear about when this activity start & finishes to teach impulse control, and avoid obsessive tendencies.

*Flirt pole fun is a safe job for all dog breeds that enjoy tugging toys.

Jolly Pets 8" Soccer Ball, Large/X-Large

The Jolly Soccer Ball is considered to be "dog proof" as it can be punctured and will not deflate. Even if your dog puts a hole in it, this toy will keep its shape, which makes it a great herding ball option.

A herding ball works as a healthy alternative outlet for dogs with instincts to shove, push, and herd livestock. Dogs with these instincts need physical and mental stimulation that meets these instincts without a flock of sheep. This activity can ward off unwanted behaviors such as chewing, barking, chasing people and vehicles and trying to “herd” humans by nipping at their ankles.

Ensure that you are clear about when this activity starts & finishes by removing the ball to teach impulse control, and avoid obsessive tendencies.

Safety - Always start playing with one dog at a time, until they can be trusted not to guard the ball, and to avoid creating conflict between two or more dogs. High energy games can sometimes escalate into a tense situation.
