JACKETS

During the cold Canadian winters, some cold-averse short haired breeds such as Greyhounds, Whippets, Boxers, Bulldogs, Pointers, Chihuahuas, Dalmatians, Boston Terriers, Great Danes, Sighthounds, Beagles, Pugs, Labrador Retrievers, etc. may need a winter jacket depending on this individual pet.

Pet parents of small breeds, puppies, and senior dogs should also be aware that anytime the temperature outside falls below 0°C, pull out the sweaters or coats!

When choosing a jacket, the fit should be snug, but not tight. When your dog is wearing the coat, ideally you should be able to squeeze a couple of fingers between the coat and your dog's skin. The coat should also reach to the base of their tail for optimal protection.

Battilo Reflective Dog Cold Weather Coat

The zipper design on the back of the coat makes it easy to dress your pooch. Reflective stripes can provide extra visibility and safety for night walks and the high collar keeps the wind out for those longer neck breeds. Fits all the way up to 6XL!

Canada Pooch Water-Resistant Dog Onesie

This full body suit will keep your pooch dry in the rain, and when playing in the snow, can prevent the accumulation of snowballs on the undercarriage of long haired "doodle” type breeds.

RC GearPro Windproof Extra Protection Down Jacket

The cotton lining of this coat makes it warm, but breathable, suitable for small breeds, with a size tailored specifically for bulldog body types.

Ruffwear

Stumptown Insulated, Reflective Dog Jacket

This jacket is warm but light weight. It’s great for winter adventures as it covers the dogs full chest, which works especially well with broad chested dogs.
